La Lanta Fine Art (Bangkok) and Boya Fine Art (Jakarta) are pleased to present "POETICAL JUNCTURES," a painting exhibition curated by Rizki A. Zaelani, featuring 5 Indonesian artists from Bali and Semarang.

POETICAL JUNCTURES examines the role of "memory" as the guardian of history and the dialogue between the past, the present, and the future. This exhibition communicates artists' responses to the flux of changes in the last 10 years in Indonesia's social, political, and cultural landscapes through images of human body.

In this exhibition, the body is conceived less as an object but rather as an area which gives us a strong sense of both location versus dislocation and complete versus incomplete. The artworks are heavily traced with emotions and at times posing critical questions.
 
The exhibition will be on display until August 9, 2009
